The hydrocolloid dressing’s main characteristics include mild viscosity, waterproof and antibacterial properties, self-dissolving and debridement ability, and the capacity to absorb a small to medium amount of exudate to form a gel. This helps maintain a moist healing environment and promotes the growth of granulation tissue. 90% of bridement gel is made of water, this can supply waterto the wound and at the same time absorb exudates from the wound. Therefore wound will not become dry and dead.

Bridement gel can hydrate necrotic tissue,and necrotic tissuecan be wrapped, separated and removed via autolysisdebridement.

It can enable the regeneration of granulation tissue,enhancesplititting and migration of epithelium cells, accelerate woundhealing and reduce the chance of scar formation.

It is soft, comfortable, and elastic, and can reduce pain fromthe wound. lt would not stick on the wound, so there is nosecondary damage to the skin.

Wound cleaning: rinse the wound with saline to remove necrotic tissue and residual exudate, and gently dry the surrounding skin.

Dressing selection: Choose a suitable dressing according to the wound condition. The dressing should extend 1.5-2cm beyond the wound edge to ensure complete coverage and prevent leakage.

Fitting and fixing: tear off the backing paper, gently fit the gel surface to the wound, avoid pulling or wrinkling, and gently press the edge to make it fit the skin tightly.

Change according to the amount of wound exudate or when the dressing becomes white, slips, or is saturated with exudate

Before using the dressing, make sure the wound area is clean and dry.

The dressing should be 2 cm larger than the wound.
