What Is the Difference Between a Hot and Cold Pack and an Ice Pack?

Hot and cold packs have both cold and hot compress functions, while ice packs are only used for cold compress.

Hot and cold packs usually contain special heat storage and cold storage materials, and usually adjust the temperature by refrigeration or heating to achieve the function conversion between cold and hot compress.

Ice packs usually contain water and some refrigerants, or dry ice (solid carbon dioxide). Water forms ice after freezing, and dry ice can provide a lower temperature to achieve a rapid cooling effect.

FAQs of Rehabilitation Products

Q

Are the materials of hot and cold bags safe?

A

Our hot and cold bags are usually made of non-toxic, odorless, and environmentally friendly materials that meet CE and ISO standards. However, if you use them improperly, there may be safety hazards. I hope you can read the instructions carefully before use and use them as required.

Q

Can hot and cold bags be used for children?

A

Yes, but they need to be used under adult supervision. Children's skin is more delicate. When using them, you should choose hot and cold bags with appropriate temperatures, and appropriately extend the interval between the hot and cold bags and the skin. Observe the children's reactions closely. If there is discomfort, stop using them immediately.

Q

Can you directly contact the skin when using hot and cold bags or ice packs for cold compresses?

A

No. The temperature is low during cold compresses, and direct contact with the skin may cause frostbite. It is recommended to wrap it with a towel or cloth before use.

Q

Can Bunion Correctors cure hallux valgus?

A

Bunion Correctors are mainly used to relieve the symptoms of mild or moderate hallux valgus and prevent the condition from getting worse. They are mainly suitable for patients with mild or moderate hallux valgus, but they cannot completely cure it. Severe cases may require surgery based on doctor's advice.

Q

How to choose a wheelchair that suits you?

A

Choose according to the user's physical condition, activity needs and budget. Manual wheelchairs are suitable for short-term or temporary use, and electric wheelchairs are suitable for long-term or severe mobility impairment.
