FIP Feline Infectious Peritonitis Virus Test for Sale

Feline Infectious Peritonitis Antibody (FIP Ab) Rapid Test

Feline Infectious Peritonitis Antibody (FIP Ab) Rapid Test Kit is a qualitative test tool based on lateral flow immunochromatography, designed for rapid screening of feline infectious peritonitis antibodies in cat serum, plasma, ascites or pleural effusion samples. The kit has high sensitivity and accuracy, and can provide reliable test results in a short time, helping veterinarians and pet owners to understand the health status of cats in a timely manner, providing strong support for early diagnosis and intervention.

Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a highly contagious disease caused by feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV), especially in cats and kittens. The early symptoms of the disease include loss of appetite, depression, weight loss and persistent fever. As the disease progresses, severe symptoms such as abdominal swelling, shortness of breath, and jaundice may occur. Rapid detection of FIPV antibodies is essential for timely control of the spread of the disease and improving the prognosis of cats.

This kit uses sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography technology, which is easy and fast to operate. The test card has a clear test window, including a test area (T area) and a control area (C area). During the test, the FIPV antibodies in the sample will bind to the pre-coated recombinant antigen to form a visible T line. Regardless of the test result, the appearance of the C line indicates that the test process is effective. This intuitive interpretation method makes the test results clear at a glance, greatly improving the convenience and reliability of the test.

Steps for using the Feline Infectious Peritonitis Antibody (FIP Ab) Rapid Test Kit

1. Sample preparation

Collect cat serum, plasma, ascites or pleural effusion samples to ensure that the samples are fresh and uncontaminated.

2. Reagent rewarming

Restore the test card and sample buffer to room temperature (15-30℃) to avoid low temperature affecting the test results.

3. Sample addition

Use a pipette to draw 3 drops (about 100μL) of sample and drop it vertically into the sample well of the test card.

4. Add buffer

Immediately add 2 drops (about 80μL) of sample buffer to ensure that the liquid fully penetrates the test strip.

5. Wait for reaction

Place the test card horizontally and observe the results for 10-15 minutes to avoid shaking or tilting to affect the interpretation.

6. Interpretation of results

Positive: Both the T line (test line) and the C line (quality control line) are colored, indicating that the sample contains FIPV antibodies.

Negative: Only the C line is colored, indicating that no antibodies are detected in the sample.

Invalid: C line does not show color, whether T line appears or not, retest is required.

Notes

The results after 20 minutes may be inaccurate, please do not interpret.

Check the expiration date before use to avoid reagent failure affecting the test.
