Steps for Using a Feeding Bag

Preparation: Wash hands and disinfect, check whether the feeding bag packaging is intact and within the validity period, and prepare nutrient solution at an appropriate temperature (about 37°C)
Assembly: Open the sterile packaging, hang the feeding bag on the infusion stand, and connect the feeding tube (nasogastric tube/nasointestinal tube, etc.)
Exhaust: Open the regulator to exhaust the air in the pipeline and confirm that the pipeline is full of nutrient solution without bubbles
Feeding: Adjust the appropriate flow rate (initial 20-30ml/h), keep the head of the bed elevated 30-45 degrees
Observe the patient's reaction: Observe the patient's reaction during the feeding process, whether there is abdominal distension, vomiting and other discomfort
End: After feeding, rinse the pipeline with 20-30ml warm water, separate the feeding bag and dispose of it properly.
