Steps for Using a FCV Feline Calicivirus Test

Sample collection

Use a sterile cotton swab to gently collect the cat's eye secretions, nasal mucus or anal secretions, and ensure that the cotton swab is fully moistened.

Sample processing

Insert the collected cotton swab into the test buffer tube, rotate and shake for 10-15 seconds to fully dissolve the sample in the buffer.

Prepare the test device

Tear open the aluminum foil bag and take out the test card, and place it horizontally on a clean and stable table to avoid tilting to affect the test results.

Sample addition test

Use the matching dropper to absorb the sample liquid in the buffer solution, and vertically add 3 drops (about 100μL) to the "S"-shaped sample well of the test card.

Wait for the reaction

Stand for 5-10 minutes to observe the results, and avoid shaking or moving the test card. The results after more than 20 minutes are invalid.

Result interpretation

Positive (+): Both the test line (T) and the quality control line (C) are colored, regardless of the depth.

Negative (-): Only the quality control line (C) is colored, indicating that the virus antigen is not detected.

Invalid: The quality control line (C) does not appear and needs to be retested.
