Steps for Using a Chest Seal

1. Remove obvious foreign matter from the surface; wipe the skin around the wound with sterile gauze and keep it dry to enhance adhesion.

2. Fix the edge of the dressing with one hand and tear off the backing paper with the other hand to avoid touching the adhesive surface to prevent contamination or reduce stickiness.

3. Aim the center of the dressing at the wound, fix one edge first, then extend and fit around to ensure that the wound edge is completely covered by more than 2cm.

4. Use the palm of your hand to apply pressure in a circular motion for 10-15 seconds, focusing on pressing the outer edge of the dressing to form a closed environment that is waterproof and airtight.
