Giardia is a common intestinal parasite that can infect humans and pets, with a high infection rate in dogs. After infection, the clinical manifestations are mild to severe diarrhea, and it is easy to relapse and form refractory diarrhea. It is mainly transmitted through the oral-fecal route.
Canine Giardia Antigen (C-GIA Ag) Detection Kit is a rapid diagnostic tool designed for veterinary medicine to detect Giardia lamblia antigens in canine feces or vomit. The kit uses sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography technology to provide accurate and reliable results within 5-10 minutes, helping veterinarians to quickly determine whether dogs are infected with Giardia.
The kit detects antigens in samples by immunochromatography. It is easy to operate. Just drop the treated sample into the sample well, and the liquid will flow through the test paper to react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibody. The detection window is equipped with a T zone (detection zone) and a C zone (quality control zone). If there is antigen in the sample, the T line will appear, and the appearance of the C line indicates that the test is effective.
The kit has high sensitivity and accuracy, fast and intuitive results, reasonable price and excellent quality, making it an ideal choice for veterinary clinical diagnosis and pet health management. Its ready-to-use design includes a test card, cotton swab, buffer diluent and instructions, allowing users to test at any time.

Test steps
Use the matching cotton swab to collect fresh feces or vomit samples from dogs to ensure sufficient testing.
Insert the cotton swab into the buffer tube and shake thoroughly to mix so that the antigen is effectively released into the liquid.
Open the aluminum foil bag and take out the test card, place it horizontally on a clean table to ensure a stable operating environment.
Take 3 drops of the treated sample liquid and drop it vertically into the sample well (S well) of the test card to avoid contamination.
Observe the color development of the T/C line within 5-10 minutes. After 20 minutes, the result is invalid and needs to be retested.
Result judgment:
Positive (+): Whether the T line is clear or not, the "C" line and the regional "T" line can be seen.
Negative (-): Only a clear C line is displayed, no T line.
Invalid: There is no colored line in the C area. Regardless of whether the T line appears.
Easy to operate: no complicated equipment is required, just drop the processed sample into the sample well to quickly complete the test, which is suitable for clinical instant diagnosis.
Fast and efficient: the results can be obtained in 5-10 minutes, which greatly shortens the diagnosis time and helps veterinarians to formulate treatment plans in time.
High sensitivity: using immunochromatography technology to accurately detect low-concentration antigens, effectively avoid missed detection, and ensure reliable results.
Intuitive results: T line (test area) and C line (quality control area) are clearly visible, easy to interpret, and no professional instrument assistance is required.
Economical and practical: high cost-effectiveness, low detection cost, suitable for daily use in pet hospitals, clinics and home users.
Widely applicable: can detect feces or vomit samples, suitable for screening and monitoring of canine Giardia infection.
Pet hospital clinic: a routine testing site for veterinary institutions, used for rapid diagnosis of dog diarrhea cases
Animal epidemic prevention and control center: an official monitoring agency for epidemiological surveys of regional Giardia infections
Kennel farms: daily health screening at breeding sites to prevent mass parasite transmission
Pet grooming and boarding shops: health checks before entering the store to avoid cross-infection risks
Home self-testing environment: pet owners can test at home and monitor their dog's intestinal health at any time
